We are the Vacacela Macas Family and we run Sumak Kawsay from Saraguro, Loja, Ecuador.
Since childhood, I grew up surrounded by vibrant colors, traditions, and artisan women who transformed small glass beads into pieces filled with identity. In our family, the art of beadwork has been passed down through generations, and every necklace, bracelet, and accessory we make represents our culture, our history, and our deep roots.
That is how Sumak Kawsay was born—a family business created to share the beauty of Saraguro art with the world while keeping alive techniques our grandparents taught us.
